Map Showing Pesticide-Free Places for Kids & Pets to Play Released by County

King County this week released a new, interactive map that shows users where to find pesticide-free or reduced places for kids and pets to play in the area.

To find Pesticide-Free Places, just click here and search by zip code, city or name.

“Going outside to play? Find a pesticide-free place where kids and pets play,” reads an announcement. “Moms and dads can be worry free! Find over 800 parks managed with few to no pesticides.”

The website lists over 800 pesticide-free urban and rural recreation areas from the Olympic Sculpture Garden to Mount Si – managed in a way to protect people, water and wildlife.

A list of area Pesticide-Free Parks include:

  • Eagle Landing Park
  • Seahurst Park
  • Salmon Creek Ravine
  • Arbor Lake Park
  • Southern Heights Park
  • Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden
  • Lakewood Park
  • North Shorewood Park
  • White Center Pond Natural Area
  • Grandview Park

The Pesticide-Reduced area parks include:

  • North SeaTac Park
  • Neighborhood Park at SeaTac Community Center
  • Sunset Playfield
  • White Center Heights Park
  • Steve Cox Memorial Park
  • Seola Park
  • Arroyos Natural Area
  • Roxhill Playground
  • Des Moines Creek Park – SeaTac
