Perhaps we’re just – slow – or that what we created took a lot of reviewing, encoding and editing – finally, here’s our Super Slow-Mo compilation of the best pie-throwing moments from the Aug. 18 Pie Joust World Championship!

If you were at this spectacle of an event (we were a Sponsor; read our extensive coverage here), you may have seen BTB Publisher Scott Schaefer holding a small camera on a long pole. That was a GoPro Hero2 camera, set to shoot at a frame rate of 120 frames per second (regular video is 30fps) allowing for some extra juicy slow-motion.

Here’s a 5:47 long compilation of the most amazing splats from this great fundraiser event (some shot by Mark Neuman), set to a 1934 public domain version of Strauss’ “Blue Danube” and featuring an audio snippet of a certain sitting President who apparently likes pie.

For best viewing experience, watch in full screen at 720p:

Wooo! Some GREAT shots there, Scott. Watching the cream fly slow-mo is pretty fun. The near misses and those that were right on. Thanks for the huge effort to put the video together. (No small task.)
