PHOTO: Highline Schools’ New Super Waits for Bus on 1st Day of School

Today – Thursday, Aug. 30 – is the first day of classes for the Highline School District, and to celebrate, new Superintendent Dr. Susan Enfield rode a bus with kids to White Center Heights Elementary School.

“On her first day of school in Highline, Superintendent Susan Enfield will visit three elementary schools, where she will interact with staff, students, and parents as they kick off the new school year,” reads an announcement.

Aside from White Center Heights, Dr. Enfield was scheduled to visit both Mount View and Shorewood Elementary Schools.

Scott Schaefer found Dr. Enfield as she waited for the bus on SW 112th Street near 2nd Ave SW (click image to see larger version), looking like many other kids today – carrying her lunchbag and waiting, waiting…
