‘Rowdy,’ a scarlet Macaw last seen Wednesday, Aug. 29 around 11:30 a.m. flying in a south/southwest direction from the north end of Boeing Field, is missing.

“Should you see this bird or hear it, please contact us as soon as you can and we will come to the site he is at,” reads an email from Rebecca Wells. “He responds best to his owner as far as coming to a person.”

Rebecca adds this warning:

Use caution when around him – he can bite people that are not familiar to him.

If found or sighted, please call (206) 767-6672.

Hey – I didn’t think much of it at the time, but one of my kids saw a flash of red in a tree on Des Moines North Hill on Sept. 5.

W.J. – I hope you see this. Did you call the phone number to report the sighting? Please let the owner know the cross street location where this sighting occurred.

      Thank you.
