A fundraiser for Crohn’s Disease will be held at Good Time Ernie’s (a BTB Advertiser) on Friday, Sept. 21, with all proceeds from the night going to “Team Lovey,” a group that is going a fundraiser Sept. 29 in Spokane called ‘Take Steps, Be Heard.’

“Our daughter graduated from Highline High School and was shortly after diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease,” said Cindi Gilbert, one of the organizers. “All her treatment options have been one by one rejected by her little body. We decided as a family to participate in the ‘Take a Stand Against Crohn’s’ walk in Spokane on Sept. 29th. There has been an awesome outpouring in our community and I am so grateful to them.”

If you’re not familiar with it, according to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, Crohn’s Disease is

…a form of inflammatory bowel disease. People with Crohn’s disease have chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. Crohn’s disease may involve the small intestine, the large intestine, the rectum, or the mouth. The inflammation causes the intestinal wall to become thick.

There will be a spaghetti dinner served from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. (or until gone), along with a silent auction, raffles and more.

Music will be by Enfold Stone (who you can hear on our sister site SoKing Internet Radio) will begin at 9:30 p.m.

This is a 21 and over event.

Good Time Ernie’s is located at 15747 Ambaum Blvd. SW; be sure to “Like” them on Facebook here:
