Now comes this update from Jim Branson, sent to us Tuesday evening (Sept. 11):

Carol (Coffey), the owner of Chico, got a report of two women walking a one-eyed chihuahua in Seahurst Park.

There can’t be too many one-eyed chihuahuas around.

Perhaps other people saw these women walking this dog.

“He wandered off without his collar, so he has no tags on,” said Carol, who added:

He has purple stitches in his head from a recent cyst removal.

A dog tracker and two K-9 tracking dogs tracked him to the QFC parking lot in Normandy Park where he was picked up by someone.

“Please let us know if you know anything about Chico,” she said.

A Reward is being offered – no questions asked.

If you’ve seen this dog, please email Carol at [email protected].

Thank you to everyone for your help in our search for Chico, my husband Frank and I miss him so much. It is so wonderful that he has been sighted in Seahurst Park being walked and loved! That means he is safe and that makes me so happy! Now, I just hope we can be reunited! Please, if you see him, call 206-878-2017 Frank or Carol Coffey

Don’t let him be trapped in someones back yard in the City of Des Moines
because their cops will shot him.
