Burien’s HomeTask will be hosting a Community Shred Event on Thursday, Sept. 27 at their offices at 611 SW 152nd Street.

This event is open to local businesses and residents who want to get papers shredded.

“We are asking that people who drop of boxes make either a $5 or $10 donation to a local non-profit of their choice,” HomeTask Founder Jerrod Sessler told The B-Town Blog.

HomeTask will be accepting boxes from Monday (Sept. 24) through Thursday (Sept. 27), between 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at their offices, but the main “shred event” will take place on Thursday, Sept. 27th from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

“During this time we will be opening our doors to the community, serving free food and beverages, and providing people with the opportunity to get to meet with representatives from local non-profits,” Sessler added. “The goal for this event is twofold: first, we want to serve the community by taking care of any local shredding needs. Second, we want to connect with the community and, particularly, connect the community with local charities.”
