Volunteers are needed for a Work Party at Salmon Creek Ravine, starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6.

“It has been many months since the last work party in the Spring when we planted lots of native plants along the new pathway,” reads an announcement. “Most plants are doing fine, but many are being stifled and choked by the unwanted morning glory and blackberry.”

Volunteers are asked to meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6 at the entrance next to the Salmon Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant, located at 12550 Shorewood Drive SW.

There is no need to sign up – just join the party at 10 a.m.!

Please call or email Jean Spohn if you have questions: [email protected]; 206-200-7524.

These work parties are sponsored by Shorewood on the Sound Community Club, the City of Burien and the Environmental Science Center.
