Des Moines Police Seeking Public’s Help Finding Suspect in Fatal Hit and Run

Our sister site The Waterland Blog is reporting that Des Moines Police are seeking the public’s help in finding the suspect responsible for a hit and run fatality.

On Thursday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m., Des Moines Police responded to the 22700 Block of Marine View Drive for a hit and run collision (map below).

The victim is a 52-year old female who stepped out in traffic and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Marine View Drive. The victim sustained critical injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Investigators at the at the time had no suspect vehicle information since no witnesses remained.

Saturday morning (Oct. 6) the victim died at Harborview Medical Center.

The Des Moines Police has obtained possible suspect vehicle information as a tan or yellow 4-door older model Toyota or similar type vehicle with fresh front end damage.

Officials are requesting assistance from anyone who has information in regards to this Hit and Run to please contact the Des Moines Police Department at (206) 878-3301.
