Local Artists Roving Gallery Showcased in Saturday’s Georgetown ‘Art Attack’

Four local Artists will have their work showcased during this month’s ‘Art Attack’ on Saturday, Oct. 13 at The Roving Gallery in Georgetown.

The Georgetown Art Attack is happening Saturday, Oct. 13  from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. This is a monthly event and all of Georgetown participates: artists, artisans, restauranteurs, baristas, mixologists…the whole neighborhood comes out to play.

The event will be showcasing the most recent paintings by Keli DeRitis, Roxanne Fawcett and Denise Smith, along with the sculpture and sculptural jewelry of Janet Crawley, also a studio artist at Burien’s Moshier Art Center.

Locally, their art is on display in the windows of the retail space at The Residences at Town Square on SW 152nd. Keli, Roxanne and Denise each have art hanging in the windows.

THE ROVING GALLERY
Definition: A partnership of local artists, banded together to promote the arts, their art and each other’s art at local venues and in their Georgetown studio/gallery: Janet S. Crawley, Keli Sim DeRitis, Roxanne Fawcett, Denise Chandler Smith.

The Roving Gallery is located on the back side of The Original Rainier Bottling Plant at 5826 Airport Way S #250.

“We face the train tracks and the freeway,” according to an announcement. “It’s gritty and groovy and if you can find your way ’round the back you will be rewarded with color, composition, construction, contrast and perhaps a creative concoctional treat or two! That said…please join us Saturday, October 13th…we have something we want to show you!!”
