Normandy Park Seeking Executive Search Consultant to Find New City Manager
The City of Normandy Park announced Wednesday (Oct. 10) that it is requesting proposals from skilled independent executive search consultants to assist the City with conducting a national search that will lead to the selection of a new City Manager.
“The City is interested in completing the search and selection process for the new City Manager by the end of April, 2013,” reads the announcement, which adds that the deadline for selecting a consultant is Nov. 13, 2012.
Deadline to apply for this gig is at 5 p.m. Oct. 25, 2012.
According to the announcement:
Normandy Park is a Washington code City and operates under the Council/Manager form of government, with a seven member City Council, including a Council elected Mayor. The City Council sets the policy direction for the City, incorporating public input received directly from local citizens and several Council-appointed Boards, Commissions, and advisory groups. The Council appoints the City Manager to function as the Chief Executive Officer of the City, providing leadership, direction, and guidance.

Normandy Park currently employs approximately 22 FTE’s, and operates with an annual general fund budget of $4 million and a total budget of $7.0 million.
The City intends to follow a selection timetable that results in the selection of a consultant by November 13, 2012.
Proposals will be accepted if received by 5 p.m. on October 25, 2012.
