It’ll be B.Y.O.L. – Bring Your Own Lederhosen – at the Highline Schools Foundation’s Oktoberfest Dinner, Dance & Auction this coming Saturday night, Oct. 20, at the Normandy Park Cove.

This will be a lively, casual dinner, dance and auction to benefit Highline Public Schools – including a DJ, dancing, a German beer hall atmosphere thanks to sponsor Georgetown Brewing, family style German fare by the Tin Room, great auction items, raffles and fun opportunities to give to your local public schools!

SCHEDULE:

  • 5:30pm: Doors Open
  • 5:30-7:15pm: Silent Auction and special performance by the Global Connections High School Jazz Band
  • 7:30pm: Dinner and Live Auction featuring Auctioneer Dick Fain, KJR Radio personality and Highline School District Alumnus.
  • 9:00pm: Dancing!

Also to be enjoyed at Oktoberfest:

  • Dessert Dash for Sports—all proceeds from the Dessert Dash Benefit Highline School District Athletics
  • Alaska Airlines Ticket Raffle—all proceeds from this raffle benefit Global Connections High School Jazz Band—in a special effort to raise funds to send them to perform at the Presidential Inaguaration in January!
  • Paddle Raise for Excel Grants—The Foundation’s Excel Grant program is one of the most direct way the Foundation puts money right into classrooms in our district. Last year the Foundation funded almost 60% of the grant requests that came in—let’s increase that percentage–your generosity toward innovation in our classrooms is so appreciated!
