Our friends at Burien Little Theatre have some GREAT news (and gratitude to our Readers) to share – they met their $8,000 fundraising goal!

“It was a complete success,” said Creative Director Eric Dickman. “With the help of The B-Town Blog, its readers, BLT’s other donors, and BLT’s anonymous angel who is matching donations, BLT met its ambitious goal of $8,000!”

This means that BLT can now pay the royalties for its upcoming productions “Young Frankenstein the Musical” and an all-female version of “Jesus Christ Superstar.”

“BLT is humbled by the outpouring of support for it,” Dickman added. “Words cannot say thank you enough. Instead, BLT will continue to produce better live theater. Come see the Holiday show, ‘A Tuna Christmas’ opening November 23, 2012. Then don’t miss ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ with an all-women cast opening February 15, 2013. And end the season with BLT’s Bill and Peggy Hunt Playwrights Festival’s of never-before produced plays opening on May 3, 2013. Because of your support, the 2013-14 season will open with ‘Young Frankenstein the Musical.’ What fun!”

Oh, and Dickman also wanted to add:

“Thank you, thank you thank you!”

It’s not too late to donate to BLT, which you can do online – just click here, then select “1″ in the dropdown menu, and click “continue.” After entering your information, you will be asked to enter a specific donation amount.
