Burien’s Hospitality House has recently come onto hard times – facing a $10,000 deficit – and is in need of donations!

“Please help us reach our year end goals,” reads an announcment. “Hospitality House has received devastating cuts to our federal and state funds. Despite the generosity of our other funding sources, we are facing a $10,000 deficit this year. Please help us reduce this deficit and fund a home for the the women we serve, during the holidays and all year through.”

Hospitality House (located in the Lake Burien Presbyterian Church) is a shelter for homeless women. Serving 80 women a year, it’s open every night of the year.

  • $70 funds one night of shelter for one of these women.
  • $25 pays for lunch for one week.

“We stretch every donation by utilizing significant volunteer and in-kind support,” they added.

Hospitality House is a 501C3 organization (tax ID 91-2006859).
