After seven years, Sunday (Nov. 25) will be the closing day at Germaine’s Country Kitchen, located at 127 SW 153rd Street in Burien.

“We had a very good run, but it is time for me to retire for a while and move back to my hometown, Wenatchee, work on the house, and take some time off,” Owner Jacki Cote said on her Facebook Page [1]. “Maybe even drive the wheat truck this summer!…and take care of my Mom, whose health is failing.”

According to a Facebook post [2], Germaine’s will shut its doors for good at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday (they’ll open at 7 a.m.), so if you’ve never been, this will be your last chance.

“I’m gonna be an emotional wreck for the the next few months while I leave all the wonderful customers and friends!!” Jacki added. “But I am also looking forward to some time off, 4 days off in a row for 7 years is not enough!”
