Burien’s Ruth Dykeman Children’s Center (now a part of Navos), is seeking donations for the 12 local children it serves, ages 6 – 13, and you can help by donating at a “Giving Tree” located at Burien Toyota.

The tree, sponsored by the Seattle Iron Indians, is at the car dealership, located at 15025 1st Ave South; (206-243-0700).

“We help throughout the year,” said Iron Indians member Rita Cook. “We have fixed bicycles, given them a basketball hoop, to name a few things. But we need help getting people to the tree to give gifts for Christmas!”

For over 80 years the Ruth Dykeman Children’s Center (RDCC) has been serving the community by providing compassionate, innovative programs that benefit children of all ages. Their work in communities, schools and in residential facilities has been changing the future for thousands of children every year, many being treated for the effects of trauma, abuse and neglect.

The Ruth Dykeman Center is located at 1033 SW 152nd Street.
