No snow to speak of at the South King Media home headquarters – near sea level – and no word yet of any school closures or delays in the area, so it looks like Snowmageddon ’12 will not happen today.
The latest forecast calls for a chance of rain and snow before 10 a.m., turning to rain most of the day, with another chance of the white stuff after 4 p.m:

Tonight: A chance of rain and snow showers before 10pm, then rain showers likely. Snow level 500 feet. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. South wind 14 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Wednesday: Rain. High near 43. South wind 16 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
Wednesday: Night Rain. Low around 37. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 14 to 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
However, according to our webcams, it appears that a light dusting hit the region near S. 188th and perhaps south of there:
















For decades I’ve enjoyed the banana belt winter conditions in Burien… however, now I experience what seems to be exact opposite conditions in my new location east of Angle Lake – if there is any chance of snow it will definitely be found in my neighborhood!
btw, just under an inch this morning but roads were relatively clear at 6:00 AM.
