UPDATE 1/8/13: We inspected the dock and took more pics – read our updated post here!

BTB Reader Terry Haigh sent us this photo of a dock that washed up on the waterfront on SW 172nd in Burien’s Three Tree Point neighborhood Monday, Jan. 7 (click image to see larger version):

“Are you missing a dock or is this another one from Japan?” Terry asked, somewhat tongue-in-cheek (we think…).

Winds in the 20s with gusts up to 33MPH, combined with another high tide – a 12.3 foot one just before Noon – were the most likely causes of this dock finding its new home.

• Wednesday: Showers. High near 46. Southwest wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
• Wednesday Night: A chance of rain showers before 10pm, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Snow level 1100 feet lowering to 500 feet. Cloudy, with a low around 36. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
• Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 38.
• Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34.
