Fish & Wildlife Officer Apparently Slips on Ice, Gets Injured at Seahurst Park

BTB Reader Krista McIntyre texted us (you can also do so 24/7 at 206-659-8768) from Seahurst Park early Saturday afternoon (Jan. 12), where she saw “six cops and an aid unit,” including State Patrol and Fish & Wildlife.

It appears from Krista’s report that a Fish & Wildlife officer may have been interviewing some people in a vehicle when she slipped on some ice and had to be treated by an aid crew.

“I talked to a few people who walked down shortly after the incident they said it appeared that the Fish and Wildlife officer went to talk to some people in the vehicle that had been pulled over,” she told us, “…and the officer slipped on the ice and hit her head. Not sure what the car was pulled over for but it appeared officers were going through it.”

We also got this eyewitness report from Elizabeth Dutton:

“I was just at Seahurst park about 30 min ago and there were about a dozen police officers and a couple of ambulances there … a person was arrested and sitting on the hood of a car…”

As we learn more about this incident, we’ll update this post (and please be careful everyone when walking or driving on ice!)…
