City of Burien Holding Public Meeting on Comprehensive Plan Monday, Jan. 28

The City of Burien announced Monday (Jan. 14) that it will be holding a public hearing on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at 7 p.m. at City Hall to receive comments on its Comprehensive Plan, specifically:

  1. Comprehensive Plan text amendments to goal and policy language in Section 2.2, Land Use Element, and updating of referenced figures.
  2. Amendments to Comprehensive Plan Land Use and Zoning Maps for the area commonly referred to as North Burien. The proposed changes are primarily located along the Ambaum Blvd. SW corridor beginning at SW 128th Street heading north to SW 112th Street, along the 1st Avenue South corridor from 128th Street to 116th Street, and along Des Moines Memorial Drive South, heading north to South 112th Street.

Scope numbers: 2, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 28

Files and maps are available for viewing at Burien City Hall during regular business hours.

“Any person may submit written or oral comments or testimony at the public hearing or may submit written comments prior to the hearing,” reads the notice. “Written comments may be submitted in person, via mail, e-mail or by facsimile. All documents submitted or requested as part of this application are available for review at City Hall during regular business hours.”
