“We are opening our doors January 24th to celebrate the completion of Phase One of our remodel and show the Burien Community where we are headed next,” said Nichole Casado, Director of Community Relations. “We are happy to show off many new site updates including new flooring, carpets and nurses stations.”

NURSING STATION – BEFORE:
Entertainment will be provided along with light hor d’oeuves.
Therapy demonstrations and live music will add to the night’s events as well as tours and prizes.
“Burien Nursing and Rehab is committed to excellent rehab care. In the past four years Burien Nursing and Rehab, under the direction of our Administrator Lynda Baldwin, has earned a Five Star Medicare rating, the highest possible care rating,” Casado added.
Burien Nursing and Rehab specializes in post acute recovery from major illness or surgery.
Along with Medicare, Burien Nursing and Rehab also works with most major insurance companies.
Burien Nursing and Rehab has onsite physician coverage which means patients have immediate access to a doctor while recovering. They also use the services of a physiatrist or rehabilitation physician.
“The job of a rehabilitation physician is to treat any disability resulting from disease or injury, from sore shoulders to spinal cord injuries. The focus is on the development of a comprehensive program for putting the pieces of a person’s life back together after injury or disease,” Casado stated.
“In the Spring we will be extending our community services to include a support group for those diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. This group will be not only for our patients but open to the general public as well. We are actively seeking physicians to partner with who serve the HIV and AIDS community to develop a comprehensive care program.”
