The King County Sheriff’s Office is reporting what all the police activity was around Moshier Field in Burien Wednesday night (Jan. 23) – they were searching for a burglary suspect after a residence in the 16600 block of 21st Ave SW (map below) was robbed.

The response included major local police turnout as well as the Sheriff’s chopper Guardian One (we first heard about it on our Facebook Page).

“One of the residents came home and saw a silver Mercedes parked near the house with the lights off, vehicle running and a driver in the driver’s seat,” Sgt. Cindi West told The B-Town Blog. “Another male fled from the victim’s home and sped off in the vehicle.”

West added that the vehicle wrecked at S. 156 and Des Moines Memorial Drive – near Moshier Field – and the suspects fled because it appeared the vehicle was inoperable.

“We searched for the suspects but were unable to locate them,” she said.

Property from the residential burglary was found in the vehicle, but the suspects were not found.
