Located on the North edge of Burien, a family-owned hidden gem for seniors awaits. A community designed for seniors who wish to retain complete freedom over their day-to-day life, yet would enjoy supportive services that eliminate responsibilities no longer desired.

This is Boulevard Park Place Retirement Community, where the key word is COMMUNITY.

Boulevard Park Place was founded in 1996 by Merle and Vi Steinman as a labor of love for both their sets of parents. Frustrated at the lack of high quality, family friendly retirement environments, the Steinmans built their own. As veterans of the hospitality industry for over 50 years in Seattle, the Steinmans lovingly created and maintained this community of apartments. The beautiful grounds reflect Vi’s own passion for gardening, and she still tends them and performs other duties in the complex 5 days a week!

Merle moved to greener pastures in 2004, but despite that loss, there is no lack of family labor, even today. For the past 10 years the operations and management have been the responsibility of Ron Steinman, who, with the help of family members and live-in managers, works to keep his parents dream a warm, welcoming, safe and lovely home for all of their residents.

Their regard for their “extended family” of residents is evident in the atmosphere as you walk the halls and admire the well-appointed common spaces, the luxurious indoor pool and hot tub (kept a toasty 86 degrees in the room, 84 degrees in the water!) and the many spaces devoted to leisure activities, such as the wood shop and craft rooms.

But what will strike you the most as you wander the facilities, is the companionship that the residents find while taking part in the impressive variety of local outings, daily activities, special meals and even short road trips! As Ron says, “Some of our residents would prefer to keep to themselves when they first come, but with a little nudging from us, next thing you know, they’re joining in and having fun.” Residents even have the opportunity to participate in the Pea patch plots, keeping green thumbs in shape.

If this all sounds like a great place to live, it should! Ron and his staff can’t wait to show you everything in this unique community which you won’t find in similar facilities, including:
