After 40 years of experience, Dino Trapalis has been lured out of retirement to open Dino’s Country Kitchen in Burien. You’ll find all of your favorite homestyle American classics such as Steak and Eggs, Omelets, Pancakes and Eggs Benedict, even a hard-to-find Monte Cristo Sandwich (“made the real way!” states Dino proudly). Along with his homemade soups, daily specials, and healthy, fresh, reasonably-priced entrees, Dino’s is already becoming a local favorite after only a few months of operation. Of course, it’s no surprise, since this veteran restaurateur counts management credits at impressive Seattle institutions such as The Edgewater Inn, Lattitude 47 and El Gaucho. Dino Trapalis started his first namesake with Dino’s Snack Bar on 5th and Pike in 1973, moving on in the early 80’s to open other establishments such as Val’s Cafe in Greenwood and the Trapalis Restauaunt on 145th and Aurora Ave N. A decade later, Dino and his brother Bill opened their first Neapolis Pizza & Pasta which received rave reviews from critics – check it out here, circa 1991!). The next 20 years produced multiple locations in Kirkland, Lake Stevens, Snohomish, Sedro Wooley, one even going as far as to Scottsdale, AZ.
