The Southwest Lacrosse Club (SWLC) is now accepting registrations from boys and girls for their teams, which cover grades 3 – 12.

There will be SWLC Parent Meeting on Feb. 10 at Normandy Park City Hall at 5 p.m.

“Teams are forming now!” reads an announcement. “SWLC promotes and supports lacrosse teams for boys and girls grades 3rd – 12th. Our growing program serves students from Burien, Des Moines, Seatac, West Seattle, Renton and Federal Way.  Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in Washington State and across the country. Our club has grown from one high school boy’s team in 2008 to now supporting seven teams!  Lacrosse is a combination of basketball, soccer and hockey. Anyone can play lacrosse big or the small. The game requires and rewards coordination and agility, not brawn. Quickness and speed are two highly prized qualities in lacrosse. For our youth programs there is no experience required. We welcome all students to come check it out.  We are accepting registrations for the following teams.”

Boy’s Teams:

  • 3rd & 4th graders
  • 5th & 6th graders
  • 7th & 8th graders
  • High School

Girl’s Teams

  • 5th & 6th graders (new)
  • 7th & 8th graders
  • High School

Home games and practices are held in the Burien area.
