World Vision, Waggener Edstrom Team Up to Distribute Backpacks to Needy Kids

World Vision partnered up with Waggener Edstrom World Wide to assemble and distribute over 130 backpacks filled with school supplies – 40 of which went directly to the families who lost everything in the apartment fire in Burien Jan. 28 (read more about that here).

The other backpacks were distributed to teachers who came to shop at the teacher resource center at Salmon Creek.

And don’t forget – our ‘Up from the Ashes” Fundraiser for the Burien fire victims is this Saturday night (Feb. 16) starting at 8 p.m. at Bison Creek Pizza, featuring live music from King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg and his band, Lark vs Owl, silent auction, raffle and much more!
