Burien Police Officer’s DUI Stop Nets Drugs, Cash and Suspected Drug Dealer

The King County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that early Monday morning (Feb. 11) just after 1 a.m., an alert Burien Police Officer stopped a erratically-driven SUV, conducted an investigation, arrested a 35-year old Burlington man for DUI, then found approximately $9,000 in cash, along with heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine inside his vehicle.

The suspect was driving a GMC Yukon southbound on Ambaum Blvd. SW, approaching the red light at SW 152nd Street when he stopped in the middle of the intersection. The deputy drove up behind the vehicle as it made a left turn on SW 152nd against the red light, then pulled it over.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for the vehicle and recovered a bag containing another $31,000 cash, a scale and material commonly used to package narcotics for sales.
