PREVIOUSLY: This just in via our mailbox – this black/chocolate lab dog has been found near Huckleberry Square near Ambaum and SW 144th (click images to see larger versions):
To whom it may concern:
I recently noticed a lot of missing/found pet articles in Burien on your blog. I also noticed quite a few success stories, so I was hoping you could help me out. My niece was recently walking in the Huckleberry Square/Ambaum area of Burien and found a what appears to be chocolate lab but we could be mistaken on that.
The dog is very friendly and seems to be well cared for. On his collar it says “Hi my name is Pita,” Jim and a number. Unfortunately the number appears to be disconnected. He also has a recent vet tag showing a rabies vaccination in 2011 at Burien Vet Hospital, and includes a serial number.
However, Burien Vet Hospital is closed on Sundays and probably tomorrow as it is a holiday. So I was hoping you could get the word out for me, and see if we can find the owner of Pita, I’m sure he wants to go home.

Burien Vet is open tomorrow, so if you haven’t found the owner, give them a call!
You can take him into any vet and they can scan him for a microchip. You can also just call Burien Vet and give them the tag number. They will contact the owner or give you a contact number.
Thank you! Burien Vet was very helpful and Pita was returned home this morning. Thanks again!
Kirk
Please consider buying a City of Burien pet license. $20 is cheap insurance to make sure you and your pet are re-united.
