Dear B Town Blog,

The Up from the Ashes fundraiser was a huge success. The way the community stepped right up to help these folks was very, very inspiring. Burien has a fantastic business community, as I’m sure you are all aware, so check out the fundraiser supporters and give them your business if you can.

My Committee and I have spoken with many of these fire victims personally and they are so very grateful for the support they are receiving from the community and feel very blessed to have that support. These are some very brave people, by the way.

Neighbors Without Borders Action Committee was pleased to have been able to assist a number of the fire victims with personal care kits, help coordinate their needs as a result of the fire, and donate to and assist with, the Fundraiser.

Thanks Scott and Becci for conceiving this and letting us work with you to help these fire victims back to some stability.

And how about that Ambaum Brothers Band?

Sincerely,
Mary Koontz and Pam Fernald
