“It’s hard to believe that just one year ago Friday (Feb. 22) what we now take for granted looked like this” (click image to see larger version):

“The deck was finished, the balusters, pilasters were still being formed, the approaches were virtual canyons, utilities were yet to come, tensioning cables were completed.

These scenes were recorded just 5 weeks before the bridge opened on March 29th in a blinding rain storm.”
