The B-Town D.O.G. group is meeting tonight – Thursday, Feb. 28 – at Roundtable Pizza in Burien at 6:45 p.m. to start planning their first fundraising event, set for this May.

“We need more volunteers!” said Organizer Kellie Bassen. “We are raising funds for development of an off-leash dog park. The proposed site for the off leash park is Hazel Valley Park on SW 126th.”

Kellie adds that any funds donated go through the City of Burien and will tax-deductible.

They are planning a dog-focused festival and are looking for:

  • Volunteer coordinator
  • Vendor coordinator
  • Procurement coordinator
  • Marketing and/or Advertising volunteer
  • Set-up crew coordinator
  • Clean-up crew coordinator
  • Anyone else willing to help out!

If you are unable to make the meeting but would like to help, please email Kellie at [email protected].

This city is going to the dogs. 🙂 Why not have a cat park? 🙂 I’m training my cat to use a leash and it’s working. For real….. It’s working. Next is toilet training. My cat better than you dog and deserves a park. Hahahahaha…..
