Our friends at Cove to Clover (we’re Sponsors) want to “mine” our communal closet for youth running shoes for the Student Shoe Swap scheduled for April 19 at Normandy Park Towne Center from 5 – 9 p.m., and they’re offering collectible wristbands as a reward.

“The goal is to get shoes onto the feet of students who have been sponsored to run the C2C but don’t have adequate footwear,” Organizer John Nelson told The B-Town Blog.

Nelson adds:

For each pair of youth running shoes (with a few miles left in them), you’ll receive a one of a kind Cove to Clover “Snake” Brand wristband (pictured above).

Want a pair of wristbands? Go to the local thrift store and find some shoes on the cheap!

Drop your shoes at Normandy Park Athletic Club by April 18 and receive a wristband.

Students can come to the April 19th Shoe Swap to try to find a pair of running shoes. Along with the Shoe Swap will be a last chance registration party (featuring music provided by FlipSide DJ, beer and snacks).

“Thanks for considering!” Nelson added.

Cove to Clover is a great, large-scale, grassroots event that returns all proceeds back into the community. To learn more about this great local fundraiser, or to register, visit
