Our friends at the Highline Schools Foundation announced this week that they’re offering the following scholarship opportunities –
the Bill Maynard Memorial Scholarship and The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (STIA) Scholarship, available to Highline School District seniors who live in the Highline School District service area and will graduate by June 30, 2013.
The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (STIA) Scholarship is a needs-based scholarship and is awarded annually to three graduating seniors from Highline School District who will be pursuing a college education. Two $14,000 awards (paid over 2 years) are made to students who will be attending four-year colleges and one $8,000 award (paid over 2 years) is made to a student attending a two-year college or vocational school.
The Bill Maynard Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of the late Bill Maynard, a beloved figure in the Highline School District. Bill was the coordinator of the Steps to Success program, and he cared deeply for the students that he worked with. One (1) $500 scholarship will be awarded toward university/college, vocational or community college education.
Deadline to apply: Friday, March 22, 2013
