18-Year Old Pleads ‘Guilty’ in March 2012 Stabbing Death of Jasmyn Tully

Jasmyn Tully accepts an award from King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg.

The King County Prosecutor’s Office is reporting that Kolby Clark, 18, pleaded guilty as charged Tuesday morning (March 12) to ‘Murder in the Second Degree’ for the stabbing death of Jasmyn Tully, 17, last March in Tukwila.

Clark, who was 17 at the time of the murder, was charged as an adult under Washington State’s automatic adult jurisdiction law.

The sentence range, which includes a deadly weapon enhancement, is 12 to 20 years in prison.

Prosecutors will recommend 16 years in prison when Clark is sentenced April 12.

As we previously reported [1], Tully was murdered in her sleep by Clark on March 17, 2012 in Tukwila, where she was spending the night with a friend (read our coverage of that here [2]).

Jasmyn had attended Burien’s Highline High School, and was most recently a student at South Seattle Community College.

A fundraiser is still being held for her Father, Steve, who struggled with homelessness, often having to resort to sleeping in his truck. You can donate online here [3].
