The King County Sheriff’s Office wants our Readers to know that this Tuesday, March 19 around 9:15 a.m., its ‘Guardian One’ helicopter will be landing at Moshier Field next to Highline High School in Burien.

“It is to allow students working on their senior projects the opportunity to see the many facets of law enforcement,” said Brian J. Barnes, KCSO Deputy.  “This will be done weather permitting, but I figured I would give the notice in case residents saw a helicopter landing at the school – they would know what was happening.”

Barnes added:

“Our AFIS team (Automated Fingerprint Identification System) is coming on Thursday also to do a fingerprint class with the seniors working on their senior project. They will be getting a great introduction to the field of criminal justice.”

  1. What a great way to introduce our youth to the positive impacts their life can have with such a great chosen career path.

    Thanks for the heads up!!!!

Now if we could just get a reason why the helicopter circles my neighborhood several times a week, that would truly be news…

  3. Risley says:

Thanks for the warning, I live right across the street from there and I probably would have thought something was wrong. Or the Sheriff felt like throwing pottery.
