If you were wondering what all the police activity was in the northeast part of Burien early Friday morning (March 22), that was a response to a domestic violence call in the 11800 block of 1st Ave South (map below).

“We had a domestic violence call in the 11800 block of 1st Ave South,” Sgt. Cindi West told The B-Town Blog. “The original call said someone had broken into the house and had a gun but we discovered that the ex-boyfriend had come over, kicked the door in ( was not armed) and fled when police responded.”

Police found him hiding nearby and arrested him.

“Hiding nearby”? Where exactly? A family member called me at 0130 and said she could hear an air ship and sirens. Getting calls at that time of night sends chills up my spine. Its becoming a regular occurrence in White Center South er I mean Burien

thanks btown blog for publishing this story. The helicopter woke me up and I was up for quite a bit listening to it hover and circle. Next day i asked others if they had heard it and no one had. I had to be up at 3:30 that morning for work (military) and I wasn’t sleeping well anyway and couldn’t figure out what was going on or if i had even heard it. Scary situation – glad no one was harmed.
