Burien Woman Accused in Seattle Parks Shooting Pleads ‘Not Guilty’ Monday

Carolyn Piksa, of Burien, was arraigned Monday morning (March 25) and pleaded ‘Not Guilty’ to a charge of Assault First Degree for allegedly shooting and wounding a co-worker March 8 at a Seattle Parks and Recreation building near Green Lake (read our previous coverage here [1]).

Piksa, 46, was also arraigned on Assault Second Degree for later driving to the Bitter Lake Community Center and allegedly pointing a firearm at an employee there.

A case setting hearing is scheduled for April 8 at the King County Courthouse.

Piksa remains in jail on $1 million bail.
