PHOTOS: See the Best Costume Winners from Monday’s ‘UFO Crash’ Party
If you missed Monday night’s first-ever ‘UFO Crash’ and Flash Mob event in Olde Burien, you missed a LOT – including at least 40 people dressed up in amazing costumes, as Men in Black, Women in Black and/or Aliens.
In addition to being a great excuse to enjoy April Fool’s Day and support local businesses, the event also served to commemorate the upcoming production of “The Maury Island Incident,” a short film about a long-forgotten UFO sighting that included what many consider to be the first “Man in Black” experience, as well as the tragic deaths of two Army Air Force investigators. The film is slated to begin production locally in June.
As part of the event – which packed the streets with at least 300 people – a costume contest was held, with winners determined by votes and the best receiving $500 in cash; here are pics of the top three winning costumes, courtesy Burien resident Paul Conrath’s Phototainment (see their entire collection of pics here; click images below to see larger versions):
