Salmon FIN Outside

We’ve had some unusual invasions in Burien lately (UFOs, Men/Women in Black, Aliens, etc.), and we expect an invasion of another species that needs our help.

‘FIN,’ a giant salmon, will be swimming into Burien Town Square Park on Wednesday and Thursday, April 17–18.

This salmon is so big that children will be able to walk right through it and learn about the life cycle of a salmon and how to protect its habitat.

BertSalmonBert the Salmon (pictured left) will also be visiting – and kids love interacting with Bert!

Sustainable Burien and Community Salmon Investigation will be setting up this giant salmon and offering educational opportunities for children and adults next Wednesday and Thursday. Come see what you can do to help the salmon of Puget Sound.

WHAT: ‘FIN’ (and Bert) the Salmon swims into B-Town!

WHERE: Burien Town Square Park, next to Burien Library on SW 152nd and 5th Place SW.

WHEN: Wednesday, April 17 and Thursday, April 18, from Noon to 7 p.m. each day.

Bring your kids, your school — a great opportunity to learn about the life cycle of a salmon. We adults need to learn too!
