At this annual meeting, the membership will conduct the election of open Board positions.

Discover Burien is updating and clarifying the voting rules for the upcoming election. To be in line with the spirit of “one person, one vote,” each person will have to be present at the election, a member in good standing, show ID and sign the registration sheet to receive their ballot. For individuals that are involved with Discover Burien through multiple memberships due to having their business(es), not-for-profit(s), and an individual membership, they must cast their individual ballot and designate one person to represent each additional membership. Each designated person must be present at the election, show id, and sign the registration sheet to receive and cast the ballot.

The member who needs to designate voters for any additional memberships can contact the Executive Director by email, phone, or mail prior to the election or in person at the time of the election.

The Discover Burien Association is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation working on economic development, business recruitment & retention, education, promotion and marketing of the Burien community. We are a membership based organization, but do not limit our services to only members, we include the entire Burien business community. We work with Burien businesses to find solutions to their problems to help educate or direct to resources that are available. We also work as a liaison between businesses and city hall to help streamline issues.
