Burien Arts offering free workshops in May and June

During May and June, Burien Arts will be offering two FREE workshops, and one workshop that costs $60 but they’re offering four high school scholarships to it.

Here are the details:

FREE ARTS WORKSHOPS (both co-sponsored by the King County Library System):
4 SATURDAYS, MAY 18, 25, JUNE 1, 8 for ages 9-12 (grades 4-6) from 10 am to noon in the Burien Library multi-purpose room w/ teacher Mandy Hellanius.  Students will have hands-on studio time in soft sculpture, collage, pattern making and drawing.  This is co-sponsored by the Burien Library and with a city of Burien grant. Presented by Burien Arts.

FREE DRAWING WORKSHOP for K-12 Teachers w/Mandy Hellanius, Friday & Saturday June 27 & 28 from 2-5 pm at the Burien Public Library.  (www.mandyhallenius.com)

LEARN HOW TO FACE PAINT WITH NATIONALLY KNOWN ARTISTS FROM CONTOURS FACE & BODY EFFECTS.  4 High School scholarships available by calling Laurie at 206 963-3072.  This will be Saturday, May 11th from 1:30 to 5:30 pm at the Moshier Art Center, 430 South 156th St. Burien  Cost $60 for all others.
