ELECTION UPDATE: 2 new candidates file for Burien City Council seats

It’s the second day of the filing season for the 2013 election (the deadline is this Friday, May 17), and two new candidates have appeared on the radar for seats on the Burien City Council:

  • Position #1: Kip Walton
  • Position #7: Steve Armstrong

Walton and Armstrong join these previously-filed candidates, for a total of seven running for four open seats:

  • Council Position No. 1: Jack Block Jr., Walton
  • Council Position No. 3: Robert L. Richmond III, Joan McGilton
  • Council Position No. 5: Rose Clark
  • Council Position No. 7: Joey Martinez, Armstrong

Not yet filed, but declared publicly to run are:
