This Wednesday – May 15 – is The Seattle Foundation’s annual ‘GiveBIG‘ fundraiser day, when all donations will be matched, making it one of the best days to help local non-profits.

Numerous local charities will benefit from this cause, and one – the Highline Schools Foundation – will be holding an in-person fundraising drive at BTB Advertiser the Tin Room Bar in Olde Burien.

“The Highline Schools Foundation is promoting GiveBIG as much as possible, with district website recognition, an email campaign to our supporters, and even live announcements at athletic events that day,” Executive Director Ashley Fosberg told The B-Town Blog.

“One special promotion we are doing is at Olde Burien’s Tin Room—anybody that comes by the bar to donate online between the hours of 4 and 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15th will get a free pint of Manny’s Pale Ale, a Brat Trot t-shirt and other great gifts,” she added. “We’ll have computer stations set up at the bar to make donation online easy—and our Trustees will be on hand to help out.”

Please note that there are numerous other local non-profits participating – to find your favorite B-Town charity, click here.

Last year GiveBIG generated $7.43 million for non-profits in King County.
