City holding meeting on Transportation Improvement Program June 3

The City of Burien will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 3, for the purpose of receiving public comments on the 2014 through 2019 Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).

“The public is encouraged to participate by providing the Council with their comments on the 2014-2019 Transportation Improvement Program,” reads an announcement. “The primary importance of the Six (6) Year Transportation Improvement Program is that, in most cases, local projects must be included in the TIP to be eligible for state and federal grant programs.”

The hearing will be in the Council Chambers at Burien City Hall, 400 SW 152nd Street, at approximately 7:00 p.m.

    Why would the public (citizens of Burien) comment? The majority of the council will NOT listen.
