King County Library System will kick off this year’s Summer Reading Program ‘Dig into Reading’ on June 1st (program runs through August 31st) – check out all the programs and activities!! Programs are for preschool children through age 12.


‘Beneath the Surface’ also kicks off June 1st!

‘A Place at the Table’ programs for JUNE-JULY (registration opens up 2 weeks before the date of the program where required):

Homemade Beer: The Basics of Home Brewing, presented by Mike Hausenfluck and other area brewers.

Burien Library, Wednesday June 19th 6:30pm

  • White Center Library, Saturday July 13th 1pm
  • This program is for adults
  • Registration is required

Backyard Poultrykeeping, presented by Paul Farley

  • White Center Library, Saturday June 22nd 3pm
  • Sponsored by the White Center Library Guild

The Hunger Lounge – Choose your Own Eat-Venture, presented by Book-It Repertory Theatre

  • Burien Library, Sunday June 23rd 1pm

Creating and Decorating Cupcakes and Cake Pops, presented by Melanie K. Silva

  • Boulevard Park Library, Saturday June 29th 2pm
  • This program is for ages 13 and up
  • Registration is required
