Who doesn’t love a parade? Not us, that’s for sure! Burien’s 92nd Annual Independence Day Parade started out under somewhat cloudy skies but the just kept getting better, and better as the units progressed through the parade route!

Did you attend the parade this year? What did you think?

Photographer Michael Brunk was there, and tried to photograph as many parade participants as possible. He assembled the following photo gallery. You can click on the small thumbnails to view high resolution images.

Awesome and fun parade. Perfect weather. Wish there were more floats. High schools in the area should compete with each other. We LOVE Burien on the 4th!

Thanks to all for organizing a great parade.

I was a little saddened to see all the overt political posturing, though. Is it common to have would-be political figures self promoting during the parade? Perhaps I’m being a grouch, but I see the parade as an nonpartisan event, no?
