PHOTOS: Three Tree Point Fireworks Display Paints Night Sky Over Burien

While a few cities in south King County still host public fireworks displays on Independence Day, Burien sadly isn’t one of them. The fireworks here are part of a day-long neighborhood celebration put on by the residents of Three Tree Point.

Oh sure, there are public vantage points where one can get a good view of the fireworks, but the problem is finding a legal place to park. This is an occasion when it pays to have friends in the area with driveway or yard space.

Taking advantage of just such an arrangement, BTB photog Michael Brunk dragged camera gear and tripod down to the beach and captured the following highlights from the beautiful celebration that illuminated the night sky.

A special tip of the hat to the Three Tree Point Fireworks Fund co-chairs Fred Feiertag and Todd Manola, who did a great job raising over $25,000 for the big event (if you enjoyed the show you can still donate online here!).
