UPDATE 7/5/13 7 p.m.: The two dogs that were found Thursday night (July 4) have found their owners!

We LOVE happy endings, and know how important all pets are…congrats to all creatures involved!

1. BTB Reader Kim Tracy found this dog on 26th and 168th Streets in Burien (click images to see larger versions):

“Looks to be an older male with white fur,” she said. “He has a grey collar with no tags. Sweet dog.”

Please contact Kim or Reagan @ 206-465-8161

2. AND…BTB Reader Adelle Comfort reports that this dog was found on a porch on 24th Ave SW between 146th and 149th last night during the heat of the fireworks going off:

“Some wonderful neighbors took in the dog and took it around the neighborhood hoping to locate the owner,” she said. “Then another neighbor Charisse was willing to take the dog in for the next few days.”

Call Charisse at 206-420-3846 or 206-747-9604 if you recognize this dog!

As vets around the area if they know these sweet dogs.

Please DO NOT take them to CARES.

  2. Teresa says:

Hi all! Thanks to this wonderful person, in photos above, who rescued our beautiful, loving dog, Bitsy was returned to us through the awesome people of Cares today! I am eternally grateful to you. She is a huge part of our lives & our lives wouldn’t have been the same without her.

    • Adelle Comfort says:

So grateful that Bitsy is back with her humans. It took a VILLAGE of Burien people to get her back. I left a message with John about the couple who first found Bitsy on their porch and started the ‘search’. Left their phone number on your voicemail.

  3. Kim says:

Thankfully, the dog in the top photo (chow mix) was returned to its owners via Burien CARES today. Sounds like it is a happy ending for both of these pups.

  4. TbC says:

Wow, I’m impressed that CARES got one right. Good job! Now, if we only knew what happened to those 200+ animals they “lost track of”
