Jenny told The B-Town Blog:

Dog was taken from my driveway July 3rd 2013 at 5:30pm on 8th Ave S. half way between south park and the top of the hill. The car was traveling south on 8th Ave S. pulled into my driveway and coaxed my dog into the car, they tried to get both tiny dogs, but my son foiled them by calling to his dog. So they only got one.

The car was a Lexus ES 300 white 2 door with tinted windows (no spoiler), 2 African American young (early 20’s) thin women, both with buns on the backs of their heads were inside, the passenger opened her door to get the dog. and sped off up the hill, my son tried to follow but they were gone by the time he reached the stop sign.

The dog:

  • 5 month old female
  • Chihuahua mix
  • tricolor; brown, tan, white
  • 5 pounds
  • smooth short coat
  • floppy ears
  • tail has several kinks in it
  • tail is half length
  • she stands about 7″ tall
  • police report case #13-150704

“I love her and miss her very much,” Jenny added, “and she looks like a tiny tiny beagle.”

Terribly sad. Another reminder of why you have to keep your dogs on leash. We have a similar dog on our street that is routinely left to roam off leash. I worry every time I see it on its own that someone will snatch it.
