UPDATE: Missing Renton man who used credit card in Burien FOUND

UPDATE: Roy Thompson, the missing Renton man that was last seen in West Seattle Friday (July 12) has been located in Bellevue.

“He is safe and has been reunited with his family,” said Sgt. Cindi West of the King County Sheriff’s Office.


Police are seeking the public’s help in finding Roy Thompson, a Renton man whose last known location was in the West Seattle area on Friday morning, July 12.



Thompson’s credit card has been used in Burien since he went missing.

“I just found out that he used his bank card at a 7-11 in the 3200 blk of SW Avalon in West Seattle at 8:15 this morning and then used it again at a Shell station in the 600 blk of Elliott Ave W sometime between 10:40 and 12:40 today,” Sgt. Cindi West said.

He was last seen at his Renton home on Thursday, July 11.

Thompson has serious medical issues – as well as early signs of Alzheimer’s – that need to be addressed.

Since he left home, he is known to have been as far as Stanwood, as well as Burien.

In the past he has lived in Kent.

  • Blue eyes
  • 6’, 155 lbs.
  • Wears glasses
  • Last seen wearing tan clothing

    According to the Seattle Times, Mr. Thompson was found safe in Bellevue and is back home.
